This Backstreet Museum is now open at a new location in the Tremé Neighborhood following extensive damage and relocation due to Hurricane Ida. It is the result of an effort to document Carnival celebrations, second-line parades, and jazz funerals in Black neighborhoods throughout New Orleans.
